The "Config Edit" menu allows editing of the Inventory configuration file from the web interface. Note, that this exposes sensitive information (including SQL login data) to any user that has Admin permissions. Use this functionality with discression.

The Configuration Editor allows to edit all parameters in the configuration file. The setup paramters are displayed in a form which you can change and save. The system also creates a backup file containing the last configuration, and write in the current file a comment describing which user last saved the file. This menu is only accessible to Admin users.

Using this menu requires a few things:

If you're missing some of the permissions required, the dialog will alert you to the problem by printing a warning message on top.

This menu does not have a standard toolbar on top, instead there is only one functionality: there's a restore configuration button that will allow you to revert back to the configuration data saved in include/cfg.bak.php
